LEGO currently produces remote-control (RC) trains as part of its LEGO City theme, utilizing the Powered Up technology for control via a physical remote or a smartphone app.
Current LEGO RC Train Sets
LEGO's modern RC trains use the Powered Up system, which features Bluetooth connectivity for improved range and reliability compared to older systems. The current sets come with all necessary components for operation: the motor, hub (battery box with integrated receiver), remote control, and track pieces.
LEGO City Freight Train (60336)
Description: A comprehensive freight train set featuring a locomotive with sound effects, a flat wagon with two cargo containers, an open wagon, and a double-decker car transporter with two toy electric vehicles.
Control: Can be operated with the included 10-speed Bluetooth remote control or the LEGO Powered Up app on a smart device.
Track: Includes 33 sections of track, including a track switcher.
